some things

  • i guess i was naive to think that once the election was over the political facebook posts would end. not so.
  • so far this pregnancy the sickness seems more similar to my pregnancy with abbey. not as consistent and goes away after eating. i've had a few other similarities to her pregnancy maybe it's a girl? it's still SO early. i always wish i would find out i was pregnant at like 12 weeks instead of 4.
  • does tomato soup count as a vegetable? i'm going with yes because it is the most healthy thing i've eaten all day. i didn't even lunch but just had chocolate frosting i made for gregg's birthday cake instead.
  • i really only like to eat tomato soup for the crackers + cheese i put in it.
  • i am pretty sure i shocked some friends this week when i confessed that i get in bed at 8:30 every night and turn off the lights/t.v. by 9:15. i got into the habit of going to bed as soon as tucker did when he was in the no sleeping stage (i.e. the first 6 mths of his life) and i kind of never got out of it.
  • i have always been pretty average on the emotional scale but after having abbey i got a little more emotional, after tucker it just got worse. i mean, there were several points where i seriously thought i was pregnant just based on how easily i cried at every stupid thing. now that i'm actually pregnant's ridiculous to the point of being embarrassing  basically, i could start crying now just because i'm thinking about crying. who am i?? will i ever be normal again??
  • abbey calls tucker "tuck" all the time. gregg and i have never called him that but she just started it at some point over the last couple of months and it's sticking. i kind of love it.
  • we are having a combined birthday party for the kids tomorrow. i went back and forth on whether or not to have a party and finally decided too. tonight, i'm kind of regretting that decision. i mean, it will be worth it and fun tomorrow but right now i'm sacrificing my 8:30 bedtime to bake 2 dozen MORE cupcakes. i am tired people. so so tired.
  • i'm pretty excited for this time of the year to be here finally. november is flying by and is always busy with 3 birthdays and thanksgiving to celebrate. plus, gregg's parents come for a week this sunday and we've been looking forward to that for a long time! and then it is time for christmas decorating and baking. not much to complain about.
