let me out!

our "dining room"

since this picture was taken we have had a baby. now the left side is always full of bottles and the right side has a GIANT coffee machine where my tiny little one used to be.

in a couple of months we will be moving to a new apartment. we currently live in student housing at the seminary which, i'm quite positive, was once military housing. our place is fine for the most part and if i didn't know the end was in sight i would probably have a lot more tolerance for it. it is small, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath at around 620 sq ft. it lacks most modern conveniences (dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, closet space, insulation) and feels dirty no matter how much we clean it.

however, by far, the most frustrating aspect of our current home is the kitchen. i have a 1/2 oven, tiny sink and so little counter space. there are plenty of cabinets, however, the majority of them are way too high for me to reach. i have seen one too many bugs in there to not be hesitant when opening a cabinet door and the oven is gas. i know some people prefer gas ovens but i do not. not at all.

in any case, i have never been so excited about moving into an apartment in all my life. it will be twice the size of this one (literally), have a much more functional kitchen, huge closets, a real dinning room, and TWO large bathrooms. TWO! oh how i cannot wait.
