this past weekend gregg's parents came in for a short but fun visit. it is always so wonderful when they come to visit but never fails to go by so quickly. the kids love when nana and grandpa are here and so do gregg and i. dates nights for us and ice cream for them-well abbey at least :)

on thursday night gregg was playing guitar for a worship service our church had for kids + parents so we headed there and then out to dinner at kerby lane. the next morning we headed to zilker park for a ride on the zilker zepher and then onto a trailer park eatery for lunch. later that night gregg and i got to get out for a date night. we headed to a neighborhood restaurant we'd been wanting to try for awhile to catch the happy hour (food was SO good) and then we hit a book store, did some window shopping, ate some elaborate donuts at gourdoughs and then we went to a small concert in a little house bar. the music didn't start until 10pm and we didn't get home until after midnight-who are we?? it was fun but we were definitely thankful for grandparents who let us sleep in until almost 9 the next day!

and as a complete and super generous surprise, gregg's parents bought us bikes and a bike trailer to pull the kids on saturday afternoon! it's so fun and i love that we can bike to grocery stores (whole foods!), restaurants and playgrounds.
