for the love, why is texas so hot this summer? there have been about 4 days since the beginning of june that were not over 100 degrees outside and several that were 104 - 106. today was 104.

ugh. this is the forecast for the week. notice the chance for rain-it's really sad when i get excited about a high of "only" 96.

we have all our blinds closed and the curtains shut to help keep out the sun. we have so many windows in our living room/kitchen area that it gets crazy hot so fast. i don't like not seeing outside though but i've come to realize it's the best option for days like we've been having.

where can we move where the average summer temp is 90 and the average winter temp is 60? california isn't an option....
