what to read?

i need a new book.

i am a sucker for fictional "chick-lit" - i read through one of those in a day. i have sworn off anything by nicholas sparks for awhile. after going on a binge of reading 6 of his books in a matter of 3 weeks i decided i need to read a book that doesn't end up with me sobbing on the couch at 2am as i finish the last chapter. i need happier reading..or more meaningful reading.

i've really been wanting to read some of the books by francine rivers that some girls in our CG have suggested..they just seem to be be harder to find at used bookstores.
