2 months

tucker is two months old today. i know i'm supposed to say the past two months have flown by, and in some ways it does feel like that, but in other ways it feels like it's been longer than two months. he had his check-up today and everything is looking good right now. he weighs 11.5 pounds and is 23 inches long-which makes him about the same weight his sister was at this age but about an inch and half shorter :)

a couple of weeks ago he started smiling so much and clearly in response to his environment-i.e. mommy in his face trying to make him smile. we get lots of big smiles, near giggles and some cooing all day long. he loves to be face out and cannot stand to lay on your shoulder or be put on his belly. he seems to really like the bjorn now that we can put him face out. we tried out today for the first time at central market and as long as he could see out he was a happy boy. he has outgrown most of his newborn things but hasn't quite grown into the 3 month size. on a good night, he will sleep a 4-5 stretch, wake-up to eat and go back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. most nights are good but last week he was in a growth spurt and woke up every 2.5 hours at night all.week.long. thank goodness that seems to over for now.

he really is a sweet, good natured baby. he rarely actually cries and mostly just grunts or yells a little to let us know when he is hungry. we are still struggling with a sleep routine and still relying way too much on the swing. it's just going to take me sucking it up and getting a few nights of really rough sleep to hopefully get him use to sleeping all night in the bed. i think we will tackle that next weekend when family isn't visiting so they won't suffer too :)

and lastly, he looks so much like his sister:

Did you remove your last (most frequent) post? I thought it was wonderful how open you are. I recommended it to friends who I thought would benefit. You were doing a good thing through it. I hope to see it again. You are a great Mommy!
