i think i may be the only person in the world who wants to eat MORE when they are sick. seriously-what is wrong with me? i feel like a lazy blob too b/c i haven't worked out in over a week now. i'm hoping to return to the gym tomorrow.

i'm off work today because a few weeks ago when i was really sick of working i just picked a random monday to have off and today is it. it worked out nicely because i was sick all weekend and i am still recovering, although i feel much much better today thanks to tylenol cold medicine :)

i have discovered that there seem to be a great number of commercials on plastic surgery on the television during daytime hours. i'm assuming these are directed towards stay at homes because they make up the vast majority of people at home during the day. i saw a commercial today for something called "lipodissolve". it's not actual surgery but injects into "problem areas" that dissolve the fat. i don't know how safe this sounds but i must admit that it's tempting. i hate working out.

i just got back from the grocery store and encountered some of my usual annoyances including unruly children (apparently school is out today), too many people and crowded parking lots.

some of my biggest gripes are:

1. the parking spaces reserved for parents with children. i know that my mother did not have a special parking space when we were kids. why do parents today need those? maybe when i'm a parent i will understand this but until then-it annoys me. sorry.

2. people who have their husband/friend/wife etc pull up to the entrance of the grocery store so they can unload their groceries from their cart. why?? why can't you just push your cart out to your car like everyone else? it's not like we are asking you to physically carry the bags-you have a cart to push them in. stop blocking the flow of traffic!

3. this isn't so much a gripe as an awkward moment. is it okay to help sack the groceries when the cashier doesn't have a bagger? am i a bad person if i don't do this? am i annoying if i do? i don't know. i usually end up doing it but i always get the impression that they really don't like you to do that because once i start someone magically appears and insist i stop and let them do it. what to do?

4. i think it's understandable and expected that small children aren't always going to act like their parents would like, however, a 11 year old should know not to run up and down the aisle yelling at his mom and jumping in front of people. seriously, leave that kid at home.
