that's not a very high quality picture-i know..
so my little brother is a senior in high school this year. i can't believe he's almost old enough for college. it's so strange and scary. i am very proud of him; yes he's a 17 year old kid but he is also very mature and level headed. he has a heart for God and wants to go to into the ministry. next year he hopes to do a one year internship/college program at a ministry school in dallas before starting on a bachelor's degree. he has spoken to his youth group of 100+ on several occasions, the first of which i made a point to make the drive to go see. i was blown away-i didn't know he was capable of speaking so many sentences at one time! it's been so amazing to watch him grow in God over the past year and half.
all this is brought on by a phone call i got from him on thursday asking me if should apply for a Gap credit card to save 20% on a jacket he wanted to buy. i had to break the news to him that he had to be 18 for that and he's not yet. he then said "oh, ok. what is that card thing anyway?" this is why kids aren't aloud to have credit cards.
